The Northeast Georgia Mustang Club (NEGMC) is Chartered by the Mustang Club Of America as a regional club covering all or portions of the Georgia Counties: Walton, Banks, Jackson, Barrow, Jasper, Forsyth, Hall, Occonee, Stephens, Franklin, Lumpkin, Madison, Clarke, White, and Habersham. The club tries to meet each month at different locations throughout the region covered by our charter. Each fall we held a show in Cherokee, NC which had become a tradition for 33 years. A few years ago, we moved the show to Maggie Valley because we had outgrown our old site in Cherokee. The new facility proved to be a good choice as we had 165 cars for our 38th show. In addition to the Maggie Valley Show, we hold a spring cruise in/car show and a fall Toys for Tots show at Mustangs Unlimited in Lawrenceville, GA. Our year ends with a Toys for Tots shopping trip and drop off at Jacky Jones Ford in Cleveland. Our club supports the USMC Toys for Tots as our major charity.
A large number of the membership participate in shows and events as a group or just meet up for dinner somewhere. Next Meeting!!!!!
Our next meeting is scheduled for Saturday May 12 , 4:00 pm at Hawg Wild Barbecue in Clarkesville. The main topic of discussion will be the Maggie Valley show preparations. Since this year is our first 2 day event, we are working in new territory and as such we need ideas on what to do on Friday that can be relaxing and not too stressful. A couple suggestions have been a caravan to Cherokee or the Blue Ridge Parkway or a cook out at the show site with a meet 'n' greet. Any additional ideas are welcome.
