The Northeast Georgia Mustang Club (NEGMC) is Chartered by the Mustang Club Of America as a regional club covering all or portions of the Georgia Counties: Walton, Banks, Jackson, Barrow, Jasper, Forsyth, Hall, Occonee, Stephens, Franklin, Lumpkin, Madison, Clarke, White, and Habersham. The club meets on the third Sundays of each month at different locations throughout the region covered by our charter. Each fall we held a show in Cherokee, NC which had become a tradition for 33 years. Last year, we moved the show to Maggie Valley because we had outgrown our old site in Cherokee. The new facility proved to be a good choice as we had 200 cars for our 34th show. In addition to the Maggie Valley Show, we hold a spring and fall cruise in-show at Mustangs Unlimited in Lawrenceville, GA. Several club members showed up to support the Dixie Cruisers fund drive for Lance in Winder. The Dixie Cruisers collected more than 400 bucks to help Lance with his medical bills. Thanks to all who came out. Check the photo albums for some pictures.
Next Meeting
The next meeting will be held in conjunction with the Lavonia Car Show on Saturday July 17th. Rick and David O are trying to set up a caravan to the show. Annual Spring Pony Roundup
The Annual Spring Pony Roundup at Mustangs Unlimited turned out to be an excellent show. Even though we had been having the coldest winter on record, the weather was perfect with bright sunshine. We had a turn out of 115 entries when we stopped registering cars. We managed to sell some left over t-shirts from the Maggie Valley show. With the 50-50 we were able to raise $152.00 for the Cancer Foundation. Mustangs Unlimited provided assistance with the awards and the Mustangs Unlimited girls handled the 50-50 for us. Thanks for the support guys. For all the members who showed up to support the club by entering their cars and helping with the show duties, THANKS!
